Harry won the potion after brewing the best Draught of Living Death in the class, while using Severus Snape's textbook, of course. Harry first tricked Ron and Hermione into thinking he put some of the Liquid Luck in Ron's pumpkin juice before a Quidditch game. Ron's won all on his own. The Liquid Luck was really used by Harry while trying to attain a memory from Professor Slughorn about Voldemort while he was a student at Hogwarts.
