The greatest city of Gondor, the citadel of Minas Tirith is a towering, fortified community built into the side of the White Mountains. When war comes to Gondor, Minas Tirith is besieged by the Dark Lord’s forces. Looming three-thousand feet over the parched plains of Mordor was the vast and terrible fortress of Barad-dûr, the home of the Dark Lord Sauron. No more than a terrible will, Sauron appears as a great Eye atop the dark tower, raised nigh to the slopes of Mount Doom.
