The Key to Bag End (The Lord of the Rings) Full Scale Prop Replica

"In a hole in the ground, there lived a hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty wet hole full of worms and oozy smells. This was a hobbit hole. And that means good food, a warm hearth, and all the comforts of home.”

Bag End is a home of comfort. It is a place to begin a story, and a place to return to once the journey has ended. It is warm, safe, and full of surprises. Now the key to all of that is yours.  Each Key to Bag end is cast in zinc alloy metal and individually hand-painted. The included display base is made from polystone resin. 

During the production of The Lord of the Rings, Wete Workshop was tasked with helping to build up the very foundations of how Middle-earth was to appear on screen. From the largest of towers to the smallest of Hobbit holes, countless sketches were made detailing every aspect, and although not every concept saw its way onto the big screen, each piece played an important role in exploring the world it belonged to.

For the very first time, Weta Workshop is proud to have the opportunity to bring a piece of Middle-earth to life, that until now only existed on paper: The Key to Bag End.
